6, 2006 Shelomo Alfassa of ISLC is a guest on the 'Talkline
with Zev Brenner' radio show (WSNR 620 AM) 9pm EST. It is heard
in NYC, Northern NJ, and parts of Conn. The topic will be the
Tajikistan synagogue destruction
and the murder
of the rabbi and chairman of the Tashkent, Uzbekistan community
last week. The conversation will discuss the two countries involved,
their history, Islamic nature, and current position on the world
stage. The Zev Brenner show is rebroadcast via Talkline Radio
on WLVJ 1040 AM in South Florida (Saturday midnight-2am) and in
Israel on 94.6 FM and 90.5 FM.

was discussed on New World Radio AM 1540 WNWR of Philadelphia.
In a 20 minute interview, Farhud Recognition Project coordinator
Shelomo Alfassa discussed the Farhud, the Holocaust and its affects
in Arab lands and the goals of the Farhud Recognition Project.
He also discussed Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic.
WNWR serves the metropolitan Philadelphia area, including Southern
New Jersey and Northern Delaware.

the great Iraqi synagogue in Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles
Holocaust Museum. We are also co-sponsoring the event which will

the history of Iraq in his new book, "Banking on Baghdad:
Inside Iraq's 7,000 Year History of War, Profit, and Conflict."
It chronicles Iraq from the days of Mohammed to the Mongols to
the Ottoman Empire to the present day. The author stresses the
importance that oil has played throughout Iraq's history as well
as the role it will continue to play in the future - also the
involvement of Hitler and the Arabs who targeted the Jews of Iraq.
